Hi gogogg thank you for your observation. I am never more happy when you guys add an observation to my one. It helps to justify the importance of the location and reminds me I still

have a lot to learn. Working together is so much better than working alone.

For the record this is the nearest I've ever come to Georges 'X Drones'. Its not quite inside Tycho but North East of the crater itself. Unfortunately like a few other things I've managed to find Arizona have somehow managed to place an edge of the image line right through the object /anomaly (LROC today insert). Observations welcome.  Also just up to the left please observe a sort of 'step' structure.

Hi qmantoo thanks for posting ...(on a Saturday afternoon lol) - I was really interested in your first image as I am in constant search for George H Leonards 'X Drones' (Book: 'Someone else is on our moon fame') and when I see anything remotely suggesting that these have been found I latch onto it.

Although I cannot confirm that an 'X drone' exists I did find a couple of interesting objects. You will be aware that this location is at the juncture of 3 or 4 images at the resolution of 0.5 metres per pixel and maybe that's why you stopped at 64 meters per pixel and honed in. I'd do the same. In my first slide you can see that there seems to be a tower of sorts with a shadow. In addition you can see that there is a favourable likeness between the X shape to the left and that which appears in the crater itself. Unfortunately somehow no higher resolution image exists of the crater floor so it will have to remain a mystery in the interim. One perhaps we can come back to as the LROC takes further images of this location. Thanks TG

Today, I got sucked into looking at the LROC atlas once again. A complete waste of time and hours later, I had come up with a couple of things which I thought you  might like to see and think about. Of course, I am not sure if there is anything particularly interesting in these. See what you think.

The images of the screenshots are too wide for the forum which I know annoys some people due to the fact that we have to scroll back and forth to see text and comments. So here are linHowever... if you want to see the screenshots they are here

First 'craft' example

Second entrance/mining

If the scales are correct, then these things maybe massive.

-------------------------------------------------------

The first is what I see as more than just the centre of the crater. To me it looks more like a craft sitting there - but I could be wrong. You really need to look at the original rather than my bad screenshot and cut. The co-ordinates are -43.483 latitude and -16.289 longitude.

------------------------

The second looks to me to be some kind of entrance to an underground base or some kind of mining operation. Again, maybe I am seeing things which are not there. Again, you really need to look at the original rather than my bad screenshot and cut. The co-ordinates are (minus) -41.907 latitude and (minus) -13.775 longitude

-------------------------------------------------------

the third I have a feeling we have had this one before or something similar. This crater looks too perfect to be real. What are the odds that one crater should form inside the other almost perfectly? Co-ordinates are latitude -30.133 longitude -17.09

screenshot (too wide for forum)

------------------------------------
