The difference between normal Mars images and PDS Mars images
(Preview)
Just to highlight the differences between the two, there are links below to two examples of each The difference between 'normal' mars pictures and the PDS ones is obvious and we should really be using the PDS ones to search for our anomalies. Open these two in different tabs of your browser (if you dont...

MER Images of the sun (those white circles in the black square)

I thought you would all like to read the reply from a well-known NASA scientist about the images of the sun as taken by the Rovers. I have altered it slightly to include the links as clickable ones. I am sure he will not mind me posting this as it is educational for everyone to know these facts. In response t...

What is the gravity on Mars?
(Preview)
Do we know what the gravity is like on Mars? The reason I ask is because a rock such as the one in this photograph is 'perched' at a very steep angle and I was wondering if this is due to the differ...

Communal project and information site ideas
(Preview)
OK, this is not necessarily a Mars-only project, but we could start out with it being this perhaps and design it for other areas of investigation too. I do not know if it is do-able or even whether I want to get involved with this kind of large on-going project. I am trying to address some of the downfalls...

Rover gets in a scuffle

Check out all the smudge tampering around these messed up tracks. I suspect there were some footprints. It looks like something drug the rover for a while. It was on relatively flat land. The entire series of pictures from sol 1041 up to these nav cam shots from 1051. They're hiding something on hill...

See what's in the shadows....a new experiment
(Preview)
This is a new program that I am developing which seems to be working out quite well. However, there ARE limitations. The image is altered by taking the value of the greyscale pixel and multiplying it - so do not rely on it or post it as 'gospel'. It is only to show what can be extracted from the pixel colours...

(Preview)
This is an enhancement of the sky on one of the hazcam photos. It seems that these things are artifacts. Maybe not all of them, but they are certainly there in my software or in the photograph and I do not think that they can be in the sky! A shame but appears to be true.
