Hi Chandre, I'm now pretty much convinced the anomaly you point out in 2N294070616EFFB1BUP0714L0M1 is some kind of left navcam lenses glitch. Same anomaly in the same position could be also observed in Spirit shiny object image and in another one from Spirit sol124 I'll be posting later.

Good find Chandre, I wanted to double check at PDS for this image but couldn't find it. Interesting thing is they have produced only one left cam image, but three versions of the right eye navcam image in the NavCam Gallery? Another problem is the same time stamp for both L/R images? Obviously as xiriux suggested both eyes do not take photos at exactly the same time.

Strange aerial whatizit visible in image on left cam, image tampered on right cam. Image in different positions in each cam which I do not understand but perhaps someone can explain ?

Could be dust BUT then we have a look at the sequence of images and see that Nasa has taken a series of photos as though checking themselves ?
