Thinking about domes and such - here is possibly a dome on Mars Central Acidalia Planitia (PSP_007230_2170) which NASA of course calls a textured mound.  My senses tell me that it looks very similar to the partially snow covered dome that was in Antarctica in the way that wind has caused loose snow to drift around the construct creating a crater-like appearance.  What do you think?

Unfortunately the dome built on the south pole by the seabee's has been taken apart for "safety" reasons.  Here's a look back at the project...
Of course domes are the best way to construct living spaces downrange at the moment, something to think about when others dismiss the idea altogether.

After the geodesic dome at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station was dismantled in January 2010, top, it was shipped to Naval Base Ventura County, Port Hueneme. Above, a 2006 aerial view of the Seabee-built dome.

The geodesic dome at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station was deconstructed during the 2009-10 austral summer. The materials were shipped to the Navy base at Port Hueneme, as it was the institution that built the dome in the early 1970s.
