It IS up here somewhere, I have it on a CD somewhere, but annoyingly, cannot find it on the forum at the moment.

I suppose NASA must know how to determine what is a cosmic radiation 'hit' and what is a real 'something'.
The peeps on the unmannedspaceflight might know I suppose.

1)  What does that mean please? "I've got nothing"

It simply means that I don't know.

2)  Presumably you have an opinion? As a scientific type of person and interested in space things.

Of course I have an opinion, but that's not useful when you're being objective.  But I'm not voicing an opinion on something with such a high degree of uncertainty.

3)  You made a comment about it being probably a comet, and you have now been asked how you arrive at that conclusion.

Well, I'm not exactly certain that it was a comet.  I saw the white things and was reminded of a similar video in which a comet crashed into Sol.  Now as I look it over, I made a mistake.  I was not looking at what you were talking about.  I've heard a report on the weird things in these types of images, and someone from a space agency somewhere was saying that it was noise because a device was not functioning properly.

Same old story, to you.  I am inclined to believe it, but then again, what do I know?

My reasoning:

-It appears that about 12 minutes have elapsed between both shots, making the notion that they are planetary bodies, in all seriousness, impossible.

-The items in question seem to be in a drastically different position.  However, if you look at a video animation of these images, every frame has a different configuration of these dots.  This implies something about the images themselves, and not something really there.

-Some scientists said that it was noise or something along those lines caused by some sort of malfunction that I forgot the specifics of.  Knowing that someone else had come to the same conclusion independently, it adds that much credibility to my case.

4)  I will try and find the gif of the comet with the randomly moving 'something' in it so that you can see what you think.

Do get the .gif up here.

Do you mean that you have nothing to say, no comment to make, or that you have no information, or that you dont know, or what???
Presumably you have an opinion? As a scientific type of person and interested in space things.

You made a comment about it being probably a comet, and you have now been asked how you arrive at that conclusion.

I am assuming that some previous knowledge makes you think that a comet is likely in this context. So, is this just because it is a moving 'something' in an image which should contain no such moving 'somethings'. And that previous moving 'somethings' have been described by science as 'comets' and so we all have come to believe that these moving 'somethings' are now comets. Is that how it works?

However, on this forum (somewhere!) we have seen videos of other moving 'somethings' as maybe shown here, in the image above, but in those vidoes, they appear to move in a more random way than an orbiting comet should do - according to science. That makes them not comets eh?

I will try and find the gif of the comet with the randomly moving 'something' in it so that you can see what you think.

goggog thats very interesting and if it is verifyable in the original, looks like a spacecraft.

Eaol - That's probably a comet. Yes, it may be, however, if it was passing this side of the sun, it should be verifyable in the near-earth-objects list. If, on the other hand, it was passing further away than the sun, it would have to be travelling EXTREMELY fast to have an image this long in a relatively short exposure time.

Which do you think it is?

If you say it is an artifact, than how do we/NASA know which are artifacts and which is 'really there' ?

1)  Why wouldn't they need to get energy from a star/our sun ? You are making a statement as though you know that as a fact ? Please explain to us.

You CAN get energy from a star, but it's much easier just to get energy from the currents that power the star.  That way, you won't have to deal with going right up to an extremely hot death trap.

2)  It seems the sun is behaving in an unusual manner, perhaps they are just observing it ? Just like we are.

Well, of course it wouldn't be unusual to them, they actually would understand how stars work.  The cause for the "unusual behavior" is external to the solar system, and of course they would know that.  Not something they can't go somewhere else to watch.  Now if it were out of a concern for us, that's different, but I have yet to be convinced.

Extremely large objects orbiting Saturn were shown in the Barcelona Summit. Perhaps these may be similar ?

1)  If I were an invading species coming towards a planet(Earth) I was going to invade, I would make sure that anyone looking in my direction from Earth would not be able to see me due to the sun's glare. Similar to the Japanese fighter planes coming out of the sun in WWII. Surprise would be complete when I suddenly arrived.

If I were an invading nation, I would have to go through so much political barriers first.  Then, if by some miracle I was given permission, I would not care whether or not the inhabitants saw my fleet coming - they couldn't do anything about it anyway.  Surprise is unnecessary.  But what could I possibly get from Terra that I couldn't get from somewhere else with less effort?

First one is just an artifact.

Either that, or they are there harvesting the energy from our sun (see updates on various sites about the strange occurances/behaviour of our sun at the moment) confuse

In these images of the sun, there is a small disk which covers the bright image of the sun so that the camera can take a photo of the flares and other stuff coming from the sun itself. This small disk is supported by a straight piece of wire/filament and extends from the edge at about 2 o'clock. This is the dark line extending from the edge into the middle at that position.

Not to be taken seriously, as with all the other 2012 theories but...

About 2 o'clock on this image near the edge, there are a bunch of points which have moved during the time of the exposure. All 'moving' in the same direction, and other stars in other parts of the image are mere points of light.

Now some wild speculation...
If I were an invading species coming towards a planet(Earth) I was going to invade, I would make sure that anyone looking in my direction from Earth would not be able to see me due to the sun's glare. Similar to the Japanese fighter planes coming out of the sun in WWII. Surprise would be complete when I suddenly arrived.

[joke]Keep your eyes on the SOHO sun images for more invading alien spaceships like these.[/joke]

and in the one 12 minutes earlier, there is the Mother Ship!!
