Thought this one looked like a turtle without a shell.  It's from the rocknest panoramic.

Sorry about reposting this text but i missed some words in the original one.

Is this just a pile of stones that by chance happens to form a recognizable shape? I don’t know, but this shape is very Slug/Snail or Turtle like to me. Now is it possible that this is some kind of offspring from a creature that survived the devastation on Mars. The above 3 animals are oviparous (Egg-laying) on Earth. Let’s assume some eggs survived, and the creatures coming from those evolved and mutated into new life forms. I’m aware that this is highly speculative and that’s why it’s called a theory.

Extraterrestrial life - Is defined as life that does not originate from Earth. This means that life on Mars should be very different from life on Earth. Consider the environment and the impact that it would have on any creature evolved there. It would not be surprising if life looked something like this on Mars.

Animals that evolved to look like their environment or using camouflage as a Hunting/survival strategy is common on Earth.

I broached the same idea in the Imagine thread (1st post), our perception of life and its environments does need to change if we are to discover it
