Well MASJOSH, as a matter of interest, below is a link to a silver dome that I posted here about 3 years ago. Only a little detail, with the pic. I "might" have a little better pic, if anyone is interested. To me, this looks like a real possibly metallic dome! This item is in the last reply on this link thread. The initial post in this thread is pretty hot too, IMHO! :)

The miniature martian hypothesis reminds me alot of  The Nome Trilogy (Truckers, Diggers and Wings) by Terry Pratchett (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Nome_Trilogy).

In the end, the miniature people turned out to be aliens and they didn't even realise it.

So i have found what i believe to be another constructed dome. I have other domes scattered throughout the forum, so i decided to start a thread for them. I will look into my archives to locate and post my older pics. . . Are these terraformed domes housing our little galactic neighbors? hmmm
