Looks like it's above the ground to me. I think the sun is at 10:30ish looking at the other shadows.

The shape of the large anomalous object is rather nondescript but there are some other interesting objects in the view which I have circled.

Looks like there is something small making tracks of the rover.

Here is something else odd, the circled part looks to be like the back of a skull. Apparent eye socket on the side and lines like where different parts of skull fuse together.

This last one is a really good anomaly, zoomed in it looks like the top has been airbrushed (as does most of the top half of the image), also there is another anomaly just below this one.

I did a little more work on this one. The crop on the left is untouched. I always try to do that with all of my posts. I was looking at it with my wife the other night and she noticed the frame work on the edge facing us.

This got me scrutinizing it even more. The more I looked the more I saw. At the top of the frame work you can see an antenna looking piece on top of a bulb of some sort. And right center of the crop the head looking thing

has a blow hole and two slots at the nose of it. Just a very odd looking piece to me.

Lots of manufactured madness here. The center piece is some sort of tub with a leg

sticking out at us. At the right center looks like a dark mirror,

frame and all. And at the top right is another cylindrical object.

I don't know what to say about this one other than it doesn't look natural.

It looks like they smeared something out of the center of this one? Or there is something semi transparent here.

Who knows?

I studied the image Levelwind posted and I see a lot of anomalies, some I have highlighted in blue including Levelwinds find. Note the Green area looks to me like there has been activity.

Levelwind, Good catch. Look very closely and I am sure will observe some shapes that resemble very tiny structures. Some of these shapes have rectilinear form.

A good indicator as evidence of life activity is to look for towers. The towers usually protrude from a base structure. Take note of what is on the large rocks.

There are a couple of things about the downloaded images from Curiosity I have noticed when comparing them with the images from Spirit and Opportunity.

Firstly, there is this horrible reddish hue which I am sure is being used to visually confuse the viewer and also hide the real colours of objects on the surface.

Secondly, have you noticed that all the images from Curiosity are slightly out of focus? This should not be. They should be much sharper than what we are being fed.

Really, for the price the mission is costing the image quality should be as good, if not better, than the images captured on the MER missions.

Timewarps "rock under a clear blue sky" is at the top left of this one. Just at a different angle.

That thing does look a little too round to have been formed naturally.

Wow nice find Macten, your first crop looks like part of a drag chain. We use them at my work. They are mainly used to transfer material in the mining industry.

Yeah, but the sun is almost straight above and there isn't a stone above the shadow. I think it looks like it has teeth as well. And just to the left of that thing is another artificial looking object shaped like the letter E.
