These are clear and excellent pics, and the object is clearly contacting the surface of mars. The only objects that can contact the surface I know of are the wheels and drilling instrument. Does anyone know if there are other probes or instruments that sample or otherwise contact the surface??
Here is a zoomed in view of the anomalous object as shown in Levelwind's view. I have to say that in all the time I have been examining images from Curiosity I have never seen anything that resembles this particular oddity. Very strange indeed!
No adjustments have been made to the image apart from zooming in.
I see what you're saying, it isn't in the front hazcam file from 1001 but how about this one from the left haz cam.
You get a little better view of it here in the top left. Also if you could post links to these picture our members love investigating them.
I know I do anyways, and it's one of the rules that we go by when posting here. I love your movies, they're put together so well and it seems like
your truly interested in this investigation. My wife doesn't think we're on Mars either. I think the anomaly in your movie is the same piece that is in this photo
but just from a slightly different angle and probably is a part of the rover, but who knows? Keep up the good work and try to get us those links please.
